Who should attend?

Arkansas State Parks, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Arkansas Department of Heritage, Arkansas Forestry Commission, U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, National Park Service, Community Parks and Recreation personnel

This training provides an intense look at the world of the sex industry with a primary focus on sex trafficking and the world of the victim.

What you will learn:

  • Basic information on trafficking
  • What to look for – trafficking indicators both during a potential abuse incident and assessing the scene after
  • Who becomes a victim and how they are lured into trafficking situations  
  • Life in the sex industry and the effects of that lifestyle including trauma  
  • How to quickly assess the situation and what to ask a victim/survivor  
  • Next steps including who to connect potential victims with and protocol for reporting   
  • Life after sexual assault or in the sex industry; the effects of that lifestyle including trauma- short and long-term effects  
  • A brief look at who are the traffickers, perpetrators, assailants, purchasers
